The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation summed up the results of monitoring the higher education system in the Russian Federation in 2020. Monitoring is carried out according to six indicators: educational, research, international, financial and economic activity, salary, an additional indicator.

The assessment is based on the processing of information from questionnaires filled out by university representatives; available public data posted by educational institutions on their websites; public data from the information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; information from the SPARK-Interfax and SCAN-Interfax information and analytical systems.

AmSU has become effective in all six criteria, while it has strengthened its indicators for educational activities by 5%, research activities-by 10%, international activities - by 27% , etc.

Also recently, the Interfax group presented the results of the XII annual National University Ranking. Analysts evaluated the activities of 341 universities in Russia. In this rating AmSU has risen to the 183-184th place, taking the highest position among the universities of the Amur Region. At the same time, according to the "Education" indicator, the university shared the 115-116th place with the Irkutsk National Research Technical University. Studying this indicator, the range of implemented educational programs for mass training of personnel and higher qualifications, the quality of training, etc. were evaluated. The university has also significantly improved its indicators for scientific and international activity.

"The expert assessment of the key areas of activity of universities reflects not only the current situation of the university, but also determines the prospects for its further development. This year, many federal and regional universities have increased their competitiveness, including through accelerated digitalization of educational processes and strengthening of competencies related to new technologies and innovative solutions," said Alexey Gorshkov, Executive Director of the Interfax agency.
