On June 15, during a meeting with a representative of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was signed. The Chairman of Young Scientist Council of Amur State University and the Academic Secretary of Young Scientist Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus discussed the directions of joint work of the two organizations.
At the meeting, Arkady Leonov, the chairman of Young Scientist Council AmSU, told his colleague Anna Karpenko about the three main tracks of support for young scientists that have developed over the past few years at the university:
• participation and mentoring in scientific events and projects: preparing students to participate in scientific conferences, Olympiads, competitions, pitch sessions;
• popularization of science and scientific work: involvement of students in science through educational classes and organization of conferences, popular scientific articles in the corporate newspaper of AmSU, organization of scientific dictation (sociological, geographical, economic, environmental...), public lectures, participation in the All-Russian festival "NAUKA 0+";
• educational and methodological support: training seminars for students on project activities, on the problems of research and development, participation in grant competitions.
During the discussion, the main directions of further cooperation were outlined. The parties will co-organize scientific conferences for students and young scientists in both countries, for example, the exchange of members of expert commissions of conferences, the participation of scientists from both countries in international scientific events organized by the AmSU and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In addition, the agreement includes the possibility of participation of Belarusian students in AmSU project teams and plans to conduct online training seminars on participation in project and scientific activities.
The purpose of the signed agreement on scientific and technical cooperation is to strengthen the scientific potential of the AmSU and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, maintain and develop relations between the scientific communities of both organizations and promote scientific cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
To date, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has received an invitation to participate in the XX International Scientific Conference "Youth in Science — 2023" («Молодежь в науке — 2023») in September this year both as speakers and members of the expert commission of the conference.
