On March 20, Amur State University marks a significant milestone—50 years since its founding.
In the context of history, the university has quickly become a scientific and cultural center:
- 1961: The faculty of the Khabarovsk Automobile and Road Institute was opened.
- 1975: The Blagoveshchensk Technological Institute was established.
- 1992: The BTI was renamed the Blagoveshchensk Polytechnic Institute.
- 1994: The institution received the status of Amur State University.
Over these five decades:
- The number of academic programs has increased tenfold.
- The number of faculties has grown from 2 to 8, alongside the establishment of a general education lyceum and the Institute of Computer and Engineering Sciences.
- The enrollment of students has risen from 100 to 1500.
- The single building has transformed into the largest campus, now featuring 9 academic buildings, two sports centers, a swimming pool, and an ice arena.
