Today the traditional St. Petersburg International Gas Forum is concluding its work, in which the rector of the Amur State University Andrey Plutenko and the head of the Chemistry and Chemical Technology Department Julia Guzhel are taking part. An important development of the forum for the university was the conclusion of a trilateral Agreement. The document was signed by Vasily Orlov, the Governor of the Amur Region; Yury Lebedev, the General Director of Gazprom Processing Blagoveshchensk LLC; and Andrey Plutenko, the Rector of the AmSU.
"The agreement will allow the parties to coordinate their efforts to improve the quality of training of young specialists in the region's gas industry. Broadening the range of educational programs and coordinating research work subjects will allow our graduates to be closely involved in the processes contributing to the socio-economic development of the region," said Andrey Dolievich. It is planned to develop and implement joint educational programs, conduct fundamental and applied scientific research, and set up scientific and educational clusters on the future international inter-university campus of the Amur State University.
"Participation of employers in the development of programs and training future specialists for important sectors of the economy is a guarantee that graduates will get popular professions and enterprises will get qualified personnel. I am sure that many schoolchildren dream of working at the Amur Gas Processing Plant, as well as in this promising industry in general. Having received the level of education that the agreement signed today will provide, graduates will be able to get their dream job, realize their ambitions and help develop their native region," claimed Vasily Orlov.
In this regard, the parties intend to expand the existing practice of career guidance among students and graduates to popularize gas industry specialties.
