On April 24, a design session on the use of artificial intelligence technologies was held at the Amur State University. The event was organized by Sber and the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Amur Region.

“Nowadays, Sberbank is a Russian leader in developing artificial intelligence and digital platforms. We regularly meet with the management of Sberbank and in March we discussed the prospects of cooperation, including cooperation in development of intelligent technologies, – said Vasily Alexandrovich. – Participants of the design session, together with Sberbank experts, prepared cases of the use of artificial intelligence in various fields. The best ideas developed during this session will be implemented on the territory of the Amur region.”
The design session discussed promising areas of application of artificial intelligence technologies in the work of the Government of the Amur Region, considered practices of digitalization of administration, healthcare, ecology, education, as well as creation of digital services for citizens that affect the quality of life. Heads of the authorities of the Amur region and heads of Sberbank took part in the session.
At the design session participants were divided into teams, each of which considered areas of application of modern technologies and offered ideas for implementation of artificial intelligence in specific industries. In particular, they discussed priority projects for the Amur Region within the framework of the region's development strategy.
Participants of the event and Sber experts in the field of artificial intelligence prepared cases of the use of AI in such areas as: legal proceedings, social sphere, agro-industrial complex, emergency forecasting, environmental monitoring, etc.
Andrey Cherkashin, Chairman of the Far Eastern Bank Sberbank also gave a welcoming speech at the session.
“Sber is a federal competence center for the implementation of artificial intelligence. We shared our experience in using these technologies. At the design session, together with the Amur Region government, we have found priority AI solutions that will help to increase the gross regional product and improve the quality of life of the population in the whole country," Andrey Cherkashin said.
On April 25, more than 200 students of the Amur State University attended a lecture by Sber experts on development of artificial intelligence.
