News and events

On December 10–11, 2025, the final stage of the All-Russian competition for foreign students “StudRussia” was held in Moscow at the National Research Technological University MISIS, organized with support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Representing Amur State University were Li Bowen, a third-year student of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Zhou Runfa, a second-year student of the Philology Department.

Earlier, Li Bowen had won the regional round of the competition in the Far Eastern Federal District, which took place on November 5–6, 2025, at Vladivostok’s Far Eastern Federal University campus. As a result of competitive trials, he received a first-degree diploma in the category “Conquerors of Heights” (Russian-language track).

Zhou Runfa also represented our university admirably. His high level of proficiency in Russian language, love for Russian culture, depth of analysis of literary works, and genuine enthusiasm for Russian philology impressed the expert jury.

The All-Russian stage brought together 112 top foreign students from across Russia. The program included plenary sessions, case championships, team assignments, as well as an extensive cultural program. Participants were given a unique opportunity to visit the Dynamo Ice Hockey Stadium and the Museum of Sports History in Moscow.

Li Bowen shared his impressions about participating in the final round of the competition:

“I would like to thank all my teachers and Amur State University for their help. It is thanks to you that I was able to come to Moscow to participate in this grand competition. For me it is a great honor to represent our university here. I have learned so much and met many kindred spirits. Organizers also provided us, a group of sports-oriented students, with an invaluable opportunity to visit the Dynamo ice hockey stadium in Moscow and the Museum of Sports History. A huge thank-you goes out to Anastasia V. Chernyshova, my mentor, for her support and assistance. I am proud of our university!”

Participation in the StudRussia competition not only recognizes individual achievements of international students but also contributes significantly to strengthening the international image of Amur State University, actively integrating foreign students into the Russian educational and cultural environment.
