"I enjoy being where the action is"

News and events

Alexandra Asafova graduated fr om the Amur State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations in 2022. In her third year at the university, she got her first job and in four years Alexandra was promoted from a secretary to the head of the social media sector of the regional government.

"I cover the activities of the authorities in the region; write about important events, the governor's orders, new laws, and the work of ministries. We also tell about the life of the region and its outstanding people: the Baikal-Amur Railway constructors, spaceport employees, talented dancers, and so on. We work in different ways. For example, we make videos, cards, and hold live broadcasts with the head of the region and heads of ministries," Alexandra explains.

The girl notes that the most difficult part of her job is to keep up to date with what's going on. It is significant to know a lot about the Far East, to keep abreast of national and world news. A good specialist needs to be familiar with completely different areas and topics.

"My profession has certain shortcomings, that's okay. One of them is long working hours. For example, I can be sent a story for publication at 9 p.m. if the news is urgent. We also cover major events on February 23, May 9 and other public holidays. But for me, the pros still outweigh the cons. I enjoy being wh ere the action is and writing about it," the university graduate commented on.
The girl was hired by the first company without any experience. Alexandra realized that there is a shortage of PR and SMM specialists, as well as journalists in our region, so students will definitely have no problems with employment. The most important thing is the desire to challenge yourself and learn new things.
