News and events
First-year journalism students Daria Podstrelova, Varvara Gorbunova, and Albina Smirnova, under the guidance of Associate Professor Oksana Borisovna Arkachova from the Department of Russian Language, Communication, and Journalism, organized a themed event for international students dedicated to Easter.
During the meeting, participants learned about the history and significance of this religious holiday and became acquainted with its main symbols. Special attention was given to the tradition of decorating eggs — everyone had the chance to unleash their creativity and craft their own Easter egg.
The most exciting part of the event was the “who will crack the egg first” contest, which sparked great interest and brought a lot of positive emotions. The gathering concluded with a collective reading and analysis of a text about Bright Easter, allowing international students not only to discover the traditions but also to enrich their vocabulary.
The organizers noted that such events promote cultural exchange, strengthen friendships among students, and make the process of learning the Russian language even more engaging.
