Citizens eligible for visa-free entry into Russia must submit notification of their visit through the ruID mobile application. Notification should be submitted no later than 72 hours prior to travel. In cases of urgent entry due to emergency medical treatment, serious illness, or death of a close relative, notification can be sent within four hours before arrival. Special circumstances require supporting documentation.

How to Obtain a QR Code for Entering Russia: Step-by-Step Guide

- Register with the Gosuslugi RuID app.
- Complete your personal profile by entering your details and uploading a photograph.
- Fill out an electronic application form for entry, specifying the purpose and duration of your stay in Russia. This must be done no later than three days before your expected arrival date.
- Wait until your QR code is generated and take a screenshot for backup purposes, as internet connectivity may be limited at border checkpoints.
- Present your QR code along with your passport (or another valid identification document) upon arrival at the border.
- Undergo biometric procedures upon entry, which will include taking photographs and fingerprint scans.
