AmSU President Visited Heihe University and the Government of Heihe City

The formal meeting between Andrey Dolievich Plutenko, president of the Amur State University and Xie Baolu, mayor of Heihe City, took place on February 27, 2018.

From the Chinese site the meeting was attended by mayor of Heihe City Xie Baolu, vice-mayor of Heihe City Chen Xiaojie, vice-mayor of Heihe City Ma Chungbo, president of Heihe University Guan Changfu, vice-chancellor of Heihe University Cong Xiquan, professor of Heihe University Wang Yulang, and others.

The Amur State University was represented by the president A. D. Plutenko, pro-rector for research A.V. Leifa, head of chair of religion studies and history A. P. Zabiyako, head of chair of literature and world art A.A. Zabiyako, and others.

The meeting focused on issues of cross-border cooperation in such fields as education, science, and culture. Mayor of Heihe City laid out priorities of cooperation amidst the government of Heihe City, the Amur State University, and Heihe University. During the meeting A.D. Plutenko spoke about the current and future aspects of cooperation with Chinese universities. At the end of the meeting the mayor of Heihe City presented a document of honorable adviser of the think tanks to A.D. Plutenko, A.V. Leifa, A.P. Zabiyako, A.A. Zabiyako. By the same token in a solemn ceremony the AmSU president handed over a diploma of professor emeritus and graduate students adviser to the professor of Heihe University Wang Yulang.

A solemn meeting of the two presidents of the frontier universities – A.D. Plutenko and Guan Changfu – was held in Heihe University on February 28, 2018. Following the negotiations, the parties signed a long term agreement between the Amur State University and Heihe University. Both parties agreed to promote reciprocal cooperation in scientific research, organization of cultural and sports events, students and academic exchanges, and development of joint educational programs.
