Russian and Chinese Students Competed in Space Knowledge Quiz

News and events

A space-themed quiz was held at Amur State University to mark the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin completed a full orbit of the Earth aboard the Vostok-1 spacecraft.

Students from Russia and China, enrolled in the Faculty of International Relations at Amur State University, went head-to-head in a battle of wits, testing their knowledge of each country’s space history. Four “star crews” of seven participants each answered questions such as what food Chinese astronauts eat most often and what devices are used in Russia for vestibular training, among others.

Questions were posed in both languages, and the winning team was “Space Friends.”
