A key topic was the inter-university campus "Amur", being built at Amur State University within the framework of Blagoveshchensk's master plan. The region has applied for funding under the federal program for creating a network of modern student campuses.
The project includes the "Florensky" teaching and laboratory building, a technopark, a paleontology center, the Institute of Geology and Nature Management, housing for students and staff, and a stadium, covering over 104,000 sq. m.
The officials also discussed the ongoing renovation of university dormitories as part of a nationwide initiative, ordered by the President, to refurbish 800 such facilities.
