For the first time in the history of humorous battles in Russia the International KVN Cup was held within the framework of the World Youth Festival on the federal territory of "Sirius" where 17 teams from 32 countries have met. The "Chinese national team", consisting of students of the Preparatory Department and the AmSU Faculty of Philology, was one of the participants of this unique event.
— Everything was especially new to us in Sochi. We met a lot of outstanding young people from all over the world: we sang the songs, danced and rehearsed together. We were in friendly relations, despite the fact that we had to compete with each other. All the stress turned into motivation after we went on stage, and this fact helped us to do our best. At first, KVN was just a fun game for us, but gradually it became an important part of our lives. We learned how to be united, met friends and showed our best and strongest sides, thanks to KVN, — shared his opinion the team captain Yuan Yundong.
The outcome of the game was unexpected. The jury of the KVN-International Humor Festival decided to unite the team of the African continent and the team of the A village — and present them with a cup as a unified team.
