The AmSU hosted the Amur Region higher education institutions rapid chess tournament. The participants were the teams from the Amur State University, the Far Eastern State Agricultural University, the Amur State Medical Academy, and the Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University.

For the first time in the history of the tournament, the students of the AmSU won the 1st place in the team competition, and in the individual competition they took the entire podium. It is worth mentioning Ekaterina Velichkova (an AmSU student) who prepared the team for the tournament!
