The first Russian-Chinese satellite has captured an image of Antarctica's coastline

News and events

On November 5, the first university Russian-Chinese satellite, "Druzhba ATURK," was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome aboard a Soyuz-2.1b rocket.

During the initial months, the micro-satellite's systems were tested. Following this phase, work began progressively with the payload. To date, the low-resolution technological camera has successfully passed its testing in orbit, and the first image—the coastline of Antarctica—has been captured.
