The first Russian-Chinese satellite was delivered to AmSU

News and events

The first Russian-Chinese space satellite "Druzhba ATURC" was delivered to the Amur State University fr om Harbin.
Visual inspection of the satellite integrity took place in the university. The container with the spacecraft was opened in a special "cleanroom" - a room with the highest degree of protection from dust, other contaminants and static electricity (even a small electric charge poses a risk to the chips operation).
Recall that students of AmSU and Harbin Institute of Technology were engaged in the satellite construction. Since the satellite will be used to take pictures of natural phenomena and search for missing objects, it has been equipped with a special high-resolution camera for remote sensing (from a distance of 500 km above the Earth, it can create a detailed image of a plot of land of 2.5 m).
Representatives of Roscosmos held a working session at the Amur State University, wh ere they discussed the current state of the project, as well as the schedule for launching. The satellite is expected to be launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in May 2024.
It took several years to develop the space satellite, its launch has been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and borders closures.
Recall that in January, the Amur State University AMGU-1 (AMURSAT) satellite has made its 25,000th orbit of Earth. The small spacecraft started its anniversary orbit on January 8 at 12:20 a.m. Amur time.
