Culture and literature, ethnocultural and ethno-religious processes in the minds of Russian emigration, artistic Ethnography in the works of writers of Far Eastern emigration, artistic images of Russians and Chinese perception in Chinese and Russian literature, folkloremand folk culture of the Russian enclave in China.

1998 – Candidate of Philological Sciences, 2007 – Doctor of Philology, 2020 – full professor.
PhD thesis: «Synesthesia phenomenon and the artistic world of a literary work: Based on the material of Vladimir Nabokov's "Russian" oeuvre« 1998.
Thesis for a doctor’s degree: “Lyric poetry of "Harbin note": cultural space, artistic concepts, versification poetics” 2007.
The total amount of scientific publications is about 170: monographies, books of reports, study guides.
Participant, host of scientific conferences including international ones: host, section leader, speaker of the International research and practice conference " Russia and China at the Far Eastern Borders " (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2020); promoter of the International exhibition "Modern" living soul of the old Harbin" (Harbin, China, 2016); organizer, speaker, leader of panel discussions of the Russian-Chinese forum "Russian language and culture in China: the contribution of the Russian emigration to the dialogue between two Great Nations" (2018); organizer, head of the International youth interdepartmental scientific and practical seminar "Far Eastern frontier: languages, religions, history, culture, literature", etc.
