International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language
We are glad to welcome you to the page of the
International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language
The first Olympiad at Amur State University was held on the initiative of the School of Russian Language, Communication and Journalism in 2008. And since 2021, a new tradition of the university, at the suggestion of the International Affairs Office of AmSU, has become the holding of such an Olympiad in the online format.
The Olympiad is an online test of different levels of complexity: basic and first levels (at the choice of the participant), and includes tasks on phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the Russian language, work with vocal and printed texts. Each student is given one attempt to complete the test. The task completion time is limited.
Foreign citizens, students and schoolchildren, students of Preparatory and International Departments, studying Russian in foreign or Russian universities and other state educational institutions can participate in the Olympiad.
In 2022, 343 representatives of Asian and African countries took part in the Olympiad. These are students from the Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Afghanistan, Syria. More than 300 participants are students of well–known universities of the People's Republic of China: Heilongjiang Institute of Foreign Languages, Heihe University, Mudanjiang Normal University and Anshan Normal University.
In the 2023/24 academic year, the III International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language will be especially interesting to foreign participants, since it is included in the List of Olympiads, according to the results of which foreign students and stateless persons can apply for the Master's programs of the Russian Universities under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Participation in the International Online Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language today is not only a test of knowledge, but also a unique opportunity to join the Russian language and Russian culture, to make a move forward to new information, and finally, just believe in yourself. True love of knowledge is stronger than difficulties and distances.
We invite you to participate in our Olympiad and wish you success!
