Admission Procedure and Requirements

Step 1: Choose the Educational Program

Refer to the web site of university, section Admission, there are lists of Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Master’s Degree Programs, PhD Programs, Short Term Programs and find out more information about the majors, available for international students, their tuition, entrance exams, registration and insurance fees ,the cost of accommodation.

Step 2: Fill in an Online Application

Fill in an Online Application on AmSU web site (link)  

To your application form please attach a copy of the first page of your international passport and ID photo 3x4 in color and of a good quality. The passport should be valid for at least 18 months after the prospective starting date of your studies. Attach a copy of your education or degree certificate. In case the documents are not in Russian, you have to submit their notarized translation into the Russian language. During filling in your Application Form, do not forget to notice your nearest Russian Embassy. It is important, because you will receive your visa at the Embassy indicated in your Application form.

Step 3: Pass Entrance Exams

Contact AmSU International Office via e-mail amursu.int.office@mail.ru and find out about your entrance exams and their schedule, according to the chosen educational program. Get ready for exams!

Step 4: Contract and Payment

After passing the entrance tests, AmSU International Office will send you Study Contract with terms and conditions. Please, sign it and send its scanned copy back to the International Office email.  On the basis of signed Contract the Accountant office will bill you for the cost of your tuition (for a semester or a complete academic year). After receiving the confirmation of payment by email the International Office will apply for an invitation for you.

Step 5: Invitation Letter and Visa

The Invitation which is necessary for you to receive the Russian visa, will be issued by the Amur Region Immigration Office within 20-30 days. You will receive the notification that the document is ready from the AmSU International Office. The invitation will be sent to you in electronic format by email indicated in your Application Form. At the same time, find out from your nearest Russian Embassy what documents you need to supply with your visa application.

Step 6: Arrival at Blagoveshchensk and Registration

      Send your Arrival information to AmSU International Office (at least 2 working days in advance). Within the first 2 days after entering the Russian Federation, a foreign student must come to the AmSU International Office in order to get migration registration in the RF. It is important to remember that we will register you only if your Invitation has been issued on behalf of Amur State University. Business visa or Tourist visa are not suitable for this purpose.
